All About the Sponsor A Child Initiative

The Sponsor a Child Project is an initiative under the Student Training and Education Project (S.T.E.P.) In line with its vision, the organization initiated the Student Training and Education Project (S.T.E.P.) on February 26, 2021. It was initiated to identify underprivileged children and get them sponsors, while grooming them holistically and monitoring their progress. The first beneficiary of this initiative is 3-year old Elizabeth Botchway who was enrolled in school by For The Future Ghana and has improved greatly. Eight other children from the La Wireless School became new beneficiaries of the initiative on 30th July, 2021. Through the S.T.E.P. initiative, we find great opportunities in life for our beneficiaries to help them learn outside the classroom in order to unearth and polish their strengths and talents, to give them holistic education. We have partnered with Asustem Robotics through some staff members of Ashesi University to teach one of our beneficiaries who is gifted in making toy cars with wood to undergo training in Mechanical and Automobile designs, Robotics, Arduino and Electronics on Saturday’s.

We also partnered with a private school in East Legon called the WIT School to enroll our beneficiaries in their summer classes which were organized in August last year, where they were engaged in lots of extra-curricular activities. Chess In Slums Africa, an NGO based in Nigeria making waves globally, has collaborated with us as their first Global Ambassadors to teach our beneficiaries and other underprivileged children how to play chess and boost their intellect every weekend. In January this year, Peduase Valley Resort invited our team and beneficiaries over to have lunch and a good time with their members of staff. Our beneficiaries also loved the experience since none of them had never been to any resort as such.
